Urban study of the university campus in Barcelona, “Campus Sud”. Once analyzed the campus,
we notice there is not a real interaction between each of the buildings of the campus, and there’s not a good relationship with the surrounding city.
The proposal consists in create two new streets that cross the campus and continue to the immediate urban grid.
At the point where they cross we create a large new “plaza” surrounded by service buildings, such as a big library, residences, cafeterias, lecture halls, etc. …
This square acts as a new Campus Center. To connect the square with Diagonal Avenue (from which most students access to campus)
we create a low building that leads us into the “plaza” in a natural and intuitive way.
