The project is a home-study for a painter, located inside of the delta of the Ebro, between rice fields, reed beds and lagoons.
The building has the appearance of a large tree trunk, fallen at the margin of the lagoon.
It’s composed of a set of structural wood slatsthat create the outer skin of the house, a large slats-tube.
This skin gives it a vague appearance from the outside (the house merges with the surrounding nature) and creates a very controlled and cozy inside.
In this slats tube, there are disposed two separate volumes; in the first one there is a garage, a workshop and a greenhouse.
In the other we find the house itself: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living-room. At the end of the tube there is a terrace that seems to float on the lake surface.
